Australian international cricketers turned up to play for their respective states in the first round of Sheffield Shield 2017-18 to get some match practice before the Ashes which kicks off on November 23 at Gabba, Brisbane.
In one fixture, South Australia and New South Wales played a day-night game at the Adelaide Oval with a pink ball.
And Australian Cricket Team’s spearhead Mitchell Starc picked up his best-ever first-class figures for New South Wales, taking 8-73 to dismantle the Redbacks in their second innings.
