Former India skipper MS Dhoni aka ‘Mahi’ is known for his calm persona on the field. It also earned him the title of ‘captain cool’ which refers to his temperament, but for those who love motorcycles, the ‘cool’ refers to his collection of bikes.
His love for bikes is widely known and has been there even before Mahi joined mainstream cricket.
During the early days of his career, he used to give a ride to his teammates whenever he or someone else won a bike as a ‘Man of the Match’ award.
Dhoni rode around the ground with Yuvraj Singh on a bike he won as Man of the match in 2006 against England.
Now, the days have passed and also we hardly see a player winning a bike in ‘Man of the Match’ award. But still, we can see Dhoni riding his bike on the streets of Ranchi whenever he is off from cricket.
Meanwhile, Bollywood actress Kiara Advani has revealed her wish to go on a bike ride with Mahi.
Kiara played the character of Sakshi in Dhoni’s biopic, ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ which was released last year. The movie pulled numerous viewers and did great at the box office. Her performance was also applauded by the critics and fans.
Recently, in an interview with one of the leading entertainment websites, Kiara was asked about the person with whom she would love to go for a bike ride. Without any hesitation, she said, “MS Dhoni.”
Kiara also added that since she has gone for a bike ride with her co-stars in different movies so she would now like to go for a ride with her favourite cricketer.
During the interview, the Bollywood diva also recalled an instance from Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh‘s wedding reception where she saw Dhoni taking care of his family. “The way he was holding his baby’s bag and the way he was looking after his baby and his wife was so amazing”, she said.
“It was so normal and so lovely to see, Dhoni is super grounded,” Kiara added.
Expressing her admiration not for the first time
Interestingly, this is not the first time that Kiara has expressed her admiration for Dhoni. Earlier, in another interview, she has quoted that if there is a cricketer that she would like to go on a date with, then it would be Dhoni.
“I don’t know about candle light dinner date but dinner, just dinner since he is married, would probably Mahi so I could know more about him. The way he was holding his baby’s bag and the way he was looking after his baby and his wife was so amazing. It was so normal and so lovely to see, Dhoni is super grounded,” she had quoted earlier.
