The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially called for Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from reputed firms to acquire lead sponsorship rights for the Indian national cricket teams. This announcement confirms that India will take the field without a title sponsor in the upcoming Asia Cup 2025, which commences on 9 September.

Interested parties can purchase the EOI document upon payment of a non-refundable fee of INR 5,00,000 plus applicable GST. The document outlines detailed terms, eligibility criteria, and bid evaluation procedures. The EOI will be released on 2 September 2025, with the last date to purchase the document being September 12, 2025, followed by the final bid submission deadline of September 16, 2025.

Bidders must email proof of payment to sponsorship@bcci.tv as per Annexure A, and only upon confirmation of payment will the EOI document be shared with them. All eligibility requirements specified under Annexure B must be fulfilled for bids to be considered valid. The BCCI retains the right to cancel or amend the entire process at any stage without providing any explanation.

India cricket team’s sponsor-less Asia Cup and future outlook

Following the termination of the Dream11 deal – worth USD 44 million (approximately ₹358 crore) for the 2023-26 cycle – due to the government’s ban on real-money gaming platforms under the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025, Team India head into the Asia Cup without a lead sponsor. At an emergency Apex Council meeting on August 28, chaired by interim president Rajeev Shukla, the board agreed not to expedite the process merely to secure a sponsor in time for the continental showpiece. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia also clarified following the ban that the board would discontinue any associations with real-money gaming platforms

The senior women’s team, gearing up for the Women’s ODI World Cup campaign at home starting  September 30, may also participate initially without a jersey sponsor. With a long-term partnership in focus and the ICC Men’s T20I World Cup 2026 on the horizon, the BCCI aims to secure a stable, multi-year lead sponsor rather than a stopgap solution.
