Hardik Pandya looked like he was on his way to make a good partnership with Virat Kohli on Day 3 of the second Test against South Africa when he was run-out in the most unfortunate manner.
Though it looked like Pandya had made it comfortably back into the crease, he failed to drag his bat across the line, gifting his wicket to the South Africans. The TV replay showed that Pandya’s bat and foot were in the air.

On seeing the replays, Virat Kohli was livid, unable to fathom what Hardik Pandya did. Head coach Ravi Shastri too was unable to process what had transpired.
Also, Pandya couldn’t believe that he had committed a schoolboy error by not dragging his back into the crease and kept slapping himself on his way back to the pavilion.
