Like many others, Bollywood actress Saiyami Kher too seems dejected by Team India’s performance in South Africa

For a country that has always revelled in batsmanship, India put up one of the worst batting performances on show in the second Test against South Africa.

With 287 to win on a pitch that did not quite have the demons that you expect from a Centurion pitch, you expected the strong Indian batting line-up to put up a better fight.

But, both innings combined, it was just India captain Virat Kohli who showed what all the talk about this Indian side being one of the best ever to tour South Africa was about.

The bowlers stepped up to the plate, bowling exceeding well by sticking to their plans to bowl out the Proteas in both innings, but it was the batsmen who lacked application on a track that was not spitting venom.

The team management will have to quickly huddle up and sort things out before the third and final Test because a whitewash would put a serious blot on India’s overseas record.

Fans and cricket experts are dejected by Team India’s performance in South Africa as the World No. 1 Test team could not play up to their potential in both the matches till now.

Like many others, Bollywood actress Saiyami Kher, who was once a competent cricketer, on Twitter, commented about India’s poor show in the ongoing Test series.

Saiyami feels that Indian team should have played more practice games in South Africa and not the Sri Lankan series at home.

“Wish the boys were given more practice games in South Africa and not the Sri Lankan series.
Nagging line outside the off stump and way too many run outs lost us the game? #SAvIND”, she tweeted.
