India veteran Gautam Gambhir has come out in support of Team India after hosts South Africa won the second Test at Supersport Park in Centurion by 135 runs.
During the entire Test, none of the Indian batsmen looked comfortable except for their skipper Virat Kohli who scored his 21st Test century and scored 153 in the first innings of the match.
The Indian team and management have had to face a lot of criticism ever since the start of the Centurion Test match, be it team selection or individual performances. The fans and cricketing experts have kept the Indian team under some serious scrutiny.
However, Gambhir emerges as one of those people who is trying to explain fans and viewers, in general, to tone down the criticism and not to forget that it was the same side that was unbeatable for a year.
He took to Twitter to say, “It’s time to show support for Indian team and not being over-the-top critical. This was the team that had such a fabulous run, two games don’t make them bad. Rather than being severe on our boys, let’s just give credit to d opposition BCCI. Simple: Well played OfficialCSA.”
