VIDEO: Shikhar Dhawan goes ballistic at Virat Kohli after silly run-out in Durban ODI

It is not rare to see batsmen being run out due to miscommunication with their partners. However, batsmen rarely shows their emotions after such dismissals.

But in the Durban ODI, Shikhar Dhawan was not happy after getting run out when his partner forced him to take a run. The man at the receiving end of Dhawan’s ire was none other than Indian captain Virat Kohli.

Shikhar Dhawan angry

It was only the second time Dhawan was run-out in his ODI career. Interestingly, both times Kohli was at the other end.

Dhawan was run out for 35 runs from 29 balls.

The incident happened in the 13th over of second innings with Chris Morris bowling to Dhawan. The India opener was struck on the pads and as South Africa appealed for leg before, Dhawan slowed down in his response to a Kohli’s shout for stealing a quick run.

With Kohli more than halfway down the pitch, Dhawan had no choice but to run for it. Aiden Markram was spot on target and Dhawan was way short of his crease.

Dhawan was clearly upset with the push for a single. As he walked, he looked back at Kohli and shook his head while gesturing the run wasn’t there to be taken.
