Team India registered their first ever ODI series victory against South Africa in the Rainbow Nation beating the hosts in the fifth ODI of the six-match series by 73 runs at St. Goerge Park in Port Elizabeth.
Enroute to their victory, young all-rounder Hardik Pandya took a one hand stunner to dismiss Tabraiz Shamsi.
In the 42nd over of South Africa innings, Kuldeep Yadav bowled the fourth delivery at a full length and as the ball turned back in Shamsi connected only to lob it up towards long off.
Shikhar Dhawan and Pandya, who were positioned at long on and off respectively rushed in an attempt to catch the ball but surprisingly no one called for it. And when it was presumed that the ball might not land on someone’s mitts due to the confusion, Pandya plucked the ball from the middle of the air with his right hand leaving everyone amused.
