MS Dhoni may be nearing his retirement, but there is no understating the importance the veteran wicket-keeper batsman brings with himself on the cricket field.
Many players have come and gone in the Indian cricket team, but the former India skipper has watched the team grow over the years.
While Virat Kohli leads the Men in Blue from the front, Dhoni still can be witnessed manipulating field settings. In tricky situations, Kohli does not hesitate to take the advice of his predecessor.
During the fifth ODI of the Momentum Series, Dhoni was seen giving his valuable inputs to his teammates from behind the wickets. The 36-year-old was heard advising the leg spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav to vary their line and length for different batsmen.
Kohli was also seen taking a dig at his former IPL teammate Tabraiz Shamsi for wearing a chest guard. The Indian skipper mocked Shamsi when he walked out to bat for South Africa after the top order was decimated.
