AB de Villiers has his say on David Warner, Quinton De Kock verbal spat

Australia’s tour of South Africa has turned ugly, with CCTV footage showing the Aussie opener David Warner and the Proteas wicket-keeper Quinton de Kock involved in a heated argument at tea on day four of the first Test in Durban.

Independent Media has obtained CCTV footage of the incident, which occurred outside the dressing-rooms as players were leaving the field for the break.

In the footage, Warner appeared to be extremely upset as he argues with de Kock, as first Usman Khawaja, then Tim Paine and Smith attempt to calm the left-handed batsman.

It all happened just hours after Warner and Nathan Lyon were involved in an ugly incident immediately after the dismissal of South African former skipper AB de Villiers, with the pair coming under scrutiny for their actions immediately after the wicket.

Lyon removed the bails to complete the runout, then dropped the ball on the ground right next to de Villiers as he lay in the dirt, while Warner launched a tirade towards de Villiers and Markram.

Certainly, the Aussie players looked all fired up. Though Cricket Australia (CA) has promised to investigate the matter, for now, people are having their say. Among the lot is AB de Villiers.

AB, in a comment made on the video, remarked that this series is indeed going to be very special. He is expecting a lot of such banters on the field.

Here is what AB de Villiers tweeted in response to the video:

“This series will be one to remember,” ABD tweeted.
