India produced an all-round show to thump Bangladesh by six wickets in their second match of the Nidahas Trophy in Colombo on Thursday.
India restricted Bangladesh to 139/8 and then chased down the target with six wickets and eight balls to spare to make a strong comeback after the loss to Sri Lanka in the first match.
Opening batsman and India captain Rohit Sharma disappointed his fans once again while Shikhar Dhawan continued his red-hot form with a 55 off 43 deliveries to play the lead role in India’s batting. But the win was mostly set-up by the bowlers Jaydev Unadkat, Vijay Shankar, Yuzvender Chahal and Shardul Thakur.
Unadkat scalped three wickets while Tamil Nadu all-rounder Shankar, playing in only his second T20I match, took two. Chahal and Thakur shared 1 wicket each.
