New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson pulled in what will surely be the catch of the summer during the first session of the day-night test against England at Eden Park on Thursday.
Black Caps pacers Trent Boult and Tim Southee teamed up to knock over England for just 58 inside 21 overs but a stunning catch from Williamson, off the bowling of Southee, grabbed all the attention.
Williamson had little time to react as he threw himself and a desperate outstretched arm to his left – plucking the ball from the sky with one hand.
Broad’s look of astonishment said it all as he turned to walk back towards the pavilion and Williamson’s teammates poured in to congratulate him.
