Danielle Wyatt smashed a breathtaking 124 against India in women’s T20 international as England pulled off a record chase at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday.
Wyatt scored the second fastest century in women’s T20I history off just 52 balls as England rocketed to the top of the table in the tri-series also involving Australia.
Wyatt blasted her second T20I century and took four balls less to reach the three-figure mark as England went past India’s 198/4 with 8 balls to spare.
Ahead of the tri-series in India, Wyatt had admitted using Virat Kohli’s bat which she described as “a beast”.
Wyatt, who is a big admirer of the Indian skipper, had last year smashed her maiden hundred in the shortest format against Australia but she broke that bat.
“I’m using Virat Kohli’s bat now. The bat I hit the century with broke not long ago. So now I’ll be using Virat’s,” Wyatt told ESPN Cricinfo.
On Sunday, Danielle Wyatt opened the innings smashing her second T20I century and also became the only second player to score two tons in T20Is. After the match, her teammate Kate Cross posted a meme that was circulating on social media in a tweet and not only the fans but Wyatt also reacted to it.
