The 11th season of the 2018 Indian Premier League (IPL) commenced on Saturday. A lip-smacking fight between defending champions Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super King is underway at the Wankhede Stadium.
How cool it was when MS Dhoni came for the toss ahead of the match and explained about the playing XI and the reason for opting to bat or bowl. It had been quite a time since watching Dhoni taking the field as a skipper and those healthy chats ahead of the team storming into the field.
Dhoni gets his luck right away in the first match of IPL 2018 as he won the toss and elected to bowl first.
MS Dhoni at the TOSS: “We will bowl first. There will be some dew later on, it’s a good batting surface. It feels nice to be back in yellow, but we can’t be emotional. Starting well is important. Wood, Tahir, Bravo and Watson are the four overseas players today”.
