Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli lost his cool during an encounter against Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Tuesday.
The incident happened during the 19th over of MI innings when the caught-behind decision against Hardik Pandya was overturned despite ultra edge showing a murmur.
Chris Woakes bowled a slower length ball to Pandya, who missed it while trying to defend it on the front foot. The ball travelled to wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock who appealed for caught-behind. On-field umpire raised his finger and called it out.
Unhappy with the decision, Pandya opted for a review. After several replays, the third-umpire overturned the original decision and gave a lifeline to Pandya despite the ultra edge showing some murmur when the ball passed the bat.
Meanwhile, riding on Rohit Sharma’s 94, MI defeated RCB by 46 to register their first win of the ongoing IPL season.
