Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batsmen struggled against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bowlers in their Indian Premier League (IPL) encounter on Saturday.
Put into bat at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune, after CSK skipper MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to field, the visitors posted a total of just 127 runs on the board in their 20 overs.
Star batsmen Brendon McCullum, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers were sent back to the pavilion with RCB having just 56 runs on the board in the eighth over.
It was ABD’s wicket, though, that had a special meaning to it. The South African got stumped to a delivery from Harbhajan Singh that would’ve been a wide down the leg side had he left it alone.
De Villiers, who was dismissed after adding just one run to the RCB score, lost his cool and was left fuming. He even swung his bat on to the stumps.
