Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni struggled to control his laughter during the toss in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 final against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Sunday.
MS Dhoni flipped the coin and SRH skipper Kane Williamson called ‘tails’ which is usually the drill during the toss. Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar seemed to be confused after the toss was flipped as he kept asking Dhoni about who called ‘tails’ instead of Williamson.
With confusion on which captain made the right call, Dhoni joked around with Manjrekar for a while before he asked Dhoni, who was laughing and creating more confusion, to ‘behave’.
“Stop fooling around, MS,” Manjrekar told Dhoni before they went ahead with the proceedings.
Here’s the full conversation between the two after match referee Andy Pycroft pointed towards Dhoni to tell Manjrekar that CSK had won the toss.
Manjrekar: “You called heads”
Dhoni: “No, he called tails”
Manjrekar: “Yes, you called heads”
Dhoni: “No, he called tails!”
After a moment of confusion and giggles from Dhoni; Dhoni made it clear that it was him who won the toss at Williamson’s expense.
