Stuart Broad in splits after Jimmy Anderson hits himself in face with golf ball

When England’s swing master Jimmy Anderson stepped onto the golf course on Sunday, he would have been hoping for a very pleasant round in the sun with his friends.

Fresh off his side’s enthralling 31-run victory over India in the first Test at Edgbaston, Anderson decided to treat himself to a round of golf with Stuart Broad but his day out appeared to end in disaster.

As Anderson struck an unpleasant shot from the woods, his golf ball appeared to hit a tree stump before smashing him powerfully in the face from close range.

But following the nasty incident, Anderson’s team-mate Broad saw the funny side of things.

The 32-year-old uploaded a video on Twitter of the incident, captioning the post: ‘@jimmy9 is perfectly fine’, alongside laughing emojis.

And if you are thinking that Anderson won’t be a part of the second test match after this incident let us just inform you that the fast bowler is absolutely fine and he will be playing the second Test against India at Lords.
