During England’s 2nd innings in the Trent Bridge Test, Indian opener KL Rahul took a sharp catch of the hosts’ captain Joe Root – and celebrated by copying the ‘Dele Alli celebration’.
Rahul was fielding in the slip cordon when Root edged Jasprit Bumrah’s delivery and the 26 year old took a fine catch.
After completing the catch, Rahul celebrated with his own attempt at the ‘Dele Alli Challenge’.
He then ran off across the Trent Bridge outfield and pulled out the new craze which has taken the social media world by storm over recent weeks.
The move involves creating a circle with the index finger and thumb, placing it around one eye and resting the remaining fingers on the forehead – it’s harder than it looks.
