WATCH: Jasprit Bumrah takes revenge of Rishabh Pant from Stuart Broad

Jasprit Bumrah did not let Stuart Broad off the hock easily when the Englishman walked out to bat on the fourth day of the third Test at Trent Bridge.

On the second day, Broad had dismissed debutant Rishabh Pant for 24, after the wicket-keeper chopped one back onto his stumps. But then the English bowler proceeded to give an unsportsmanlike send-off to the India newcomer.

After his dismissal Pant had hung his head low and was on his way back to the pavilion, when he was verbally charged by the bowler. Replays even suggested words abusive in nature were also used.

However, Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah took a perfect revenge of his teammate Rishabh Pant. Bumrah first dismissed Stuart Broad and then in celebration shut down his mouth saying it to the Englishman.

After the fourth day’s play however, Broad was fined 15 per cent of his match fee for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct during the second day of the third Test.

Broad was found to have breached Article 2.1.7 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to “using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batsman upon his/her dismissal during an International Match”.

In addition to this, one demerit point has been added to the disciplinary record of Broad, for whom it was the first offence since the introduction of the revised Code in September 2016.
