Not only did Ravindra Jadeja picked up four wickets on his return to the Indian side, but also hit an important fifty to steer his side out of trouble and close in on the English total.
First, it was debutant Hanuma Vihari who hit his maiden half-century, but once he was dismissed it was Jadeja’s turn to reach that figure. Once, he got to the landmark, he did his trademark sword celebration to enthral the audience at the Kennington Oval in London.
India were all out for 292 in reply to England’s first innings total of 332 on Day 3 of the fifth and final Test.
Ravindra Jadeja top-scored for India with an unbeaten 86-run knock.
