Steve Smith marries long-time girlfriend Dani Willis

Steve Smith, one of the leading batsmen in the history of Australian Cricket, is currently facing a one year ban for the ball tampering incident that took place during the Test series against South Africa in March this year.

After the ban enforcement by Cricket Australia, Smith started his second innings in cricket career with his participations in T20 leagues like Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and Global T20 League Canada.

And now, he has started another innings in his personal life. On 15th September, Smith announced his marriage with long-time girlfriend, Danis Willis.

Smith, who proposed Willis at the top of Rockefeller centre, New York in 2017, met her in 2011. At that time Willis was studying law and commerce at the Macquarie University.

The duo got to know each other better at a bar in Sydney during the inaugural season of the Big Bash League (BBL) and since then the bond between the pair has only grown stronger.

The ceremony was held at Bendooley Estate, in Berrima, south of Sydney, a popular venue for glamorous weddings.

The guest list was also a star studded one with many Australian cricketers making the trip to see their former captain tie the knot.

Those in attendance included Nathan Lyon, Mitch Marsh, Pat Cummins, Aaron Finch, Usman Khawaja and Moises Henriques.
