Pakistan were dealt an early blow after choosing to bat first against India in the Super 4 stage match of the Asia Cup 2018 on Sunday as Yuzvendra Chahal trapped opener Imam-ul-Haq leg before wicket.
Pakistan had made a slow and cautious start at the Dubai International Stadium with both Imam and Fakhar Zaman trying to spend some time in the middle.
After tight spell by Indian pacers — Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah — captain Rohit Sharma brought leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal early into the attack. And his decision proved to be right when Chahal hit Imam on the pads.
However, the umpire didn’t raise his finger as Indian players appealed. Rohit looked at wicketkeeper MS Dhoni who nodded and the review was taken. DRS showed that it was ticking all the right boxes and Imam was given out.
