India’s wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant celebrated his 21st birthday with his teammates, which involved the mandatory ‘cake smash’, after the end of play on day 1 of the first Test in Rajkot.
Earlier, the youngster had been in the news for hitting a six on the first ball of his debut Test match against England at Trent Bridge. Pant also scored his maiden century at the Oval and became the first Indian wicket-keeper to score a Test hundred in England.
At, 20 years and 342 days, Pant became the youngest wicket-keeper to score a Test hundred in England. He also surpassed the record of MS Dhoni who scored 92 on the English soil.
