Rashid Khan played a captain’s knock for Kabul Zwanan against Balkh Legends during the ongoing Afghanistan Premier League (APL) 2018.
Rashid (unbeaten 56 off 27) along with Laurie Evans (64 off 47) rescued their team from 76/5 to 176/6. The pair added 96 for the 6th wicket off 50 deliveries including 67 runs that came across 17-19 overs.
During his blistering knock, Rashid also smashed Ravi Bopara for 28 runs in an over. Bopara conceded 25 runs in his first 3 overs before Kabul’s skipper took an attack over him.
This was the first time Bopara gave more than 50 runs with the ball in his T20 career.
In the 300 T20 matches before this game, the most Bopara ever conceded in a single game was 46 against Surrey in the 2018 T20 Blast.
However, it was Ryan ten Doeschate’s unbeaten 46-ball 78 which took Balkh home with seven deliveries to spare.
