In the first ODI of the 5-match series between India and Windies played at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, India pacer Mohammed Shami clean bowled Windies opener Chandrapul Hemraj cheaply.
After winning the toss, Virat Kohli asked the Windies side to bat first. The pitch seemed to be batsmen friendly as the visitors posted a huge total of 322 for the board, thanks to a sensational hitting from middle-order batsman Shimron Hetmyer. He blasted 106 runs off just 78 balls with the help of 6 sixes and 6 fours.
Earlier, in the 4th over of the match, Shami cleaned up debut Chandrapul Hemraj on a quicker delivery. Hemraj, who is the son of Windies legendary batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul departed for just 9 runs.
The left-hander was trying to pull Shami’s delivery but edged it into the stumps.
