Skipper Rohit Sharma’s record-breaking fourth T20I century powered India to a comprehensive 71-run win over the Windies in Lucknow. India, thus, took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match T20I series.
Rohit’s purple patch in limited overs format continued to grow exponentially as his unbeaten 111 off 61 balls helped India post 195 for 2 on the scoreboard after being put into bat.
In reply, the Windies batting caved in once again as they managed only 124 for 9 at the end of 20 overs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar (2/12), Jasprit Bumrah (2/20), Khaleel Ahmed (2/30) and Kuldeep Yadav (2/32) equally shared the spoils.

Lucknow got an international match after 24 years and India did not disappoint. Personally, have fond memories of Lucknow, being part of UP winning the Ranji Trophy in 2006 though at the KD Singh Babu stadium. Well done India on the comprehensive win #IndvWI

4th century by Rohit Sharma in T20Is – most by any batsman. Two of them have come in the last three innings. He also missed one by three runs this year – 97 vs Ireland in Malahide. #BeastForm

Rohit Sharma is the first player to score a century after playing out a maiden in T20I cricket.
Brendon McCullum played last four balls of a maiden over during his 116* against Australia in 2010. #INDvWI
