Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah came out to bowl for the first time on the final day of the 4-day practice match against Cricket Australia XI on Saturday and dismissed tail-ender Jackson Coleman with a ferocious yorker.
Team India bowlers were made to toil hard on the third day of play at the Sydney Cricket Ground as D’Arcy Short (74) and Max Bryant (62) gave CA XI a solid start with an opening stand of 114 runs.
However, as the day progressed Indian bowlers made a comeback by picking up six wickets with the hosts posting 356/6 at stumps on day 3.
On Day 4, CA XI was bundled out for 544. Bumrah finished off the proceedings for India with a peach of a delivery which cleaned up Coleman on 36 off 65 balls.
Bumrah, who adds an X-factor to the Indian attack didn’t bowl in the first innings and was used for just 1.1 overs in the second.
