All-rounder Krishnappa Gowtham picked 2 wickets for 40 in India A’s 75-run win over New Zealand A at the Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui.
Batting first, India A posted a comprehensive total of 275-8 in 50 overs, thanks to a well-defined 71 run-knock from their opener Anmolpreet Singh.
In reply, the New Zealand side was bowled out at a score of 200 in 44.2 overs. Experienced Siddarth Kaul was the pick of the bowlers for India A; he took 4 wickets and gave 35 runs in his 7 overs.
Meanwhile, Krishnappa Gowtham, who plays for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, bowled a stunning delivery to dismiss the right-handed Kiwi batsman Cole McConchie.
On the first ball of the 37th over, Gowtham knocked over McConchie’s stumps to pick his first wicket of the match.
