The Australian skipper, Tim Paine trolled the Indian wicket-keeper batsman, Rishabh Pant in a classic manner on the third day of the Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
In the 26th over of India’s second innings, Paine reminded Pant that he has been dropped from the ODI team, also suggesting that he should come and join Hobart Hurricanes for the Big Bash League.
“Tell you what, big MS is back in the one-day squad, we might get him (Pant) down to the Hurricanes, this bloke. “We need a batter,” Paine said to Aaron Finch.
“Not if he keeps blocking them,” Finch replied.
“Fancy that, Panty? Surely, extend your little Aussie holiday,” Paine asked Pant.
“Beautiful town Hobart, too. We’ll get you a nice apartment on the waterfront. We’ll have him over for dinner. Can you babysit? I’ll take the wife to the movies one night, you’ll look after the kids,” Paine was heard saying on the stump mic.
However, Pant didn’t respond to Paine but he is not shy of saying a few words either. In the first Test at the Adelaide Oval, he sledged Pat Cummins who clearly struggled to play Ravichandran Ashwin.
