It took just two balls for the first innings superstar – Jasprit Bumrah to give Australia first blood in the second innings of the Boxing Day Test match in Melbourne.
Virat Kohli, who was standing at second slip took a sharp catch to send Aaron Finch back into the hut. The ball was travelling at a good pace and the Indian skipper was able to grab the catch with his fingers pointing upwards.
Meanwhile, legendary Sunil Gavaskar couldn’t stop criticizing Finch for such an ordinary stroke. “That’s a poor shot”, said Gavaskar on air.
It was a short of length delivery just outside off, too close to be playing the cut, Finch was cramped for room and ended up stabbing at that, thick edge and it was accepted with glee by Kohli.
