Rishabh Pant posts a heart-warming message on his mother’s birthday

Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has posted a heart-warming message for his mother Saroj, who is celebrating her birthday today.

The post is really special as it came on a day after Rishabh Pant became the first Asian wicket-keeper to score a century in Australia. Plus, he has also become the youngest wicket-keeper (21 years 91 days) to register a 150-plus score in Test cricket.

Pant played a sensational knock of 159 not-out to power India to a mammoth score of 622 for 7 (dec).

“Happy birthday mom You are the person who is always behind me no matter what. I love you so much. Thank you for taking all the stress of mine and making it yours can’t even express my feelings in words. Love you happy birthday once again,” wrote Pant on his Twitter handle as he posted a photograph of him along with his mother.

Pant added 204 runs with Ravindra Jadeja (81) for the seventh wicket stand to almost bat the hosts out of the contest.

However, after scoring a record Test century, Pant revealed that he was a little nervous in the nineties.

“To be honest, I was a little nervous because in India when we were playing West Indies in last two innings, I got out on 92 and 92. So I was scared slightly, but I got through that phase early, I guess,” Pant said after the second day’s play.
