Australia veteran Shane Watson had an emotional moment on the field during a Big Bash League (BBL|08) match which he’s going to cherish throughout his life.
During a BBL clash between Sydney Thunder and Adelaide Strikers on Sunday, a young cricket fan walked towards Watson. The all-rounder was also surprised to see that young fan walking down the field was none other than his son, Will.
Will, who was wearing a Sydney Thunder jersey, approached his dad and asked for an autograph. The adorable scene garnered the attention of all those present in the stadium and also the viewers back home.
Scenes of such family reunions on the cricket field are rare and the love between the father and his son made everyone emotional. Even the commentators were moved by the bonding between the two on the field.

Despite having retired from international cricket a couple of years ago, Watson has been going strong in various T20 leagues around the world.
In the game against Strikers, Watson led from the front and scored a splendid 40-ball 68 to set up Thunder’s comprehensive victory.
