A right-handed David Warner scores 6,4,4 off Chris Gayle in BPL 2019

Discarded Australia left-handed batsman, David Warner, produced a surprise move during a BPL clash between Sylhet Sixers and Rangpur Riders at the Sylhet International stadium.

Warner was well set and batting on 45 runs off 29 balls before Chris Gayle came on to bowl the 19th over.

The Sylhet Sixers’ skipper took two quick runs of the first ball but could not connect the second ball and the third ball was also a dot.

It was then when Warner grabbed everyone’s attention by taking a stance of a proper right-handed batsman.

When Gayle bowled the delivery on the middle stump, Warner just hit through the line as a proper right-handed batsman and smashed a six over long on.

He kept batting with the right-handed batsman’s stance in the remaining two balls of the over and scored boundaries on both occasions.

The fifth ball boundary was a paddle sweep and the sixth ball boundary was a reverse sweep.

However, in the last over of the Sixers’ innings when pacer Shafiul Islam came to bowl, Warner switched back to his original left-hand stance.

Warner remained unbeaten on 61 off 36 balls with the help six fours and two sixes.
