The Men in Blue wore camouflaged caps in the third ODI against the Aussies at MS Dhoni’s home town Ranchi on Friday.
Former India skipper – Dhoni – presented the specially designed caps to the members and support staff of the team ahead of the match at the JSCA International Stadium Complex.
Dhoni is also an honorary Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian Territorial Army and while he was distributing the camouflaged caps to the Indian team, Kedar Jadhav did something amazing.
As soon as Dhoni presented Jadhav a camouflage cap, the all-rounder reverted by giving a perfectly executed salute.
Virat Kohli & Co. wore the camouflaged caps as a tribute to the Indian Armed forces. Later, the Indian captain announced that all his teammates would be donating the match fees of the Ranchi ODI to the National Defence Fund. He also urged his countrymen to donate for the families of the armed forces.
