After having missed the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) owing to his role in the ball-tampering scandal in the Capetown Test against South Africa, David Warner announced his comeback for Sunrisers Hyderabad in an emphatic fashion, scoring a 53-ball 85 against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, on Sunday.
Warner smashed nine fours and three sixes in his sensational knock.
After completing his 37th IPL fifty, Warner smashed a six onto the cameraman. It was a short of length delivery from the KKR spinner Kuldeep Yadav and Warner easily dispatched it over the boundary rope only to hit the cameraman ‘Dixit’ as Murali Karthik named him on air.
The Aussie batsman was eventually dismissed by Andre Russell in the 16th over of Sunrisers’ innings.
