One team finally got off the mark in the points table, and while heading into this match, both the sides were in search of their first win. In the end, it was Ajinkya Rahane’s team Rajasthan Royals (RR), who are now finally up and running in ongoing IPL with a seven-wicket win over Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
After sensational spell from bowling all-rounder Shreyas Gopal had kept RCB to 159 for 8, Jos Buttler’s fireworks, aided by some terrible fielding from captain Kohli and his men, ensured Royals’ first win.
During the RR’s chase, RCB dropped three catches; probably four with Kohli himself being guilty of an easy chance.

Well bowled #shreyasgopal, so impressive against a star ⭐️ studded side #rcb His reaction in getting them out was priceless, the sheer joy was evident. As a bowler that is why you play the game, for those moments 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 #RRvsRCB pic.twitter.com/g9Iq5meKEU

Nice, controlled run chase by @rajasthanroyals. #RCB needed another bowler to help Chahal but they didn't find him.

Frankly, Rajasthan made heavy weather of what seemed an easy target, but they have a victory to show finally. RCB? A team which bats poorly, bowls without conviction and muffs 4 catches hardly deserves to win

Finally a Royal Victory. But not for Kohli’s Team. Team selection, big players misfiring, execution of plans….plenty to ponder. Will be a Herculean task for them to turn it around enough to qualify. #RRvRCB #IPL

There are 19 instances of a bowler dismissing Virat Kohli & AB de Villiers in the same innings in IPL – Shreyas Gopal only the second bowler to do so twice after RCB's current bowling coach Ashish Nehra. #RRvRCB

Shreyas Gopal claimed the wickets of Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Shimron Hetmyer!

It's sad to see RCB play such poor cricket. A lot of pressure on Virat, ABD and Chahal. If they have to make some inroads in this tournament, they will have to get their other players to contribute #RRvRCB

Oh Shreyas Gopal — what a googly!
The best batsman in the world was beaten fair and square!
In 18 last IPL games, Virat Kohli has been out to spin 10 times#RRvsRCB— Sarang Bhalerao (@bhaleraosarang) April 2, 2019
When you get both AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli in one match.

Rajasthan Royals beat RCB by 7 wickets. Batting and bowling aside, the fielding has been extremely terrible for RCB. #RRvRCB #RCBvRR pic.twitter.com/VwQEe5cOXz
