The fans at the Wankhede stadium witnessed Kieron Pollard unleash his big shots as Mumbai Indians (MI) successfully chased down Kings XI Punjab’s 198 in a last-ball thriller. Polly scored a 31-ball 83 and powered his team to a 3-wicket win.
Leading the side in the absence of Rohit Sharma – who was rested because of a muscle spasm in his right leg – Pollard crafted his innings with 10 sixes and three boundaries to help Mumbai bag its third consecutive victory, on Wednesday.

KL Rahul’s unbeaten century guided KXIP to 197/4, but MI struggled initially and it was Pollard who held the run-chase together. However, he couldn’t stay till the end to finish the job and it was his compatriot Alzarri Joseph who kept his cool to pull off a last-ball thriller.
What a victory this for the @mipaltan. The dressing room celebrations say it all 💙💙#MIvKXIP pic.twitter.com/ZXDmrv6Ql3
