Jasprit Bumrah pulled off a sensational run-out to dismiss Keemo Paul during an IPL match between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium on Thursday.
Bumrah’s bullet throw was also appreciated by MI skipper Rohit Sharma.
This all happened in the 18th over of second innings when Bumrah was bowling to Axar Patel. The left-handed Patel hit the ball towards short-leg while Paul ran for a quick single but was sent back. Bumrah ran towards the ball, grabbed it and threw it directly onto the stumps. The non-striker immediately knew that it was going to hit the stumps and it did.

Paul’s dismissal reduced the Delhi score to 109/8 after 18 overs and even if they had any hopes left, it had all disappeared by then. The home team in the end could only manage 128/9 in their 20 overs after being asked to bat second on a sluggish Kotla pitch.
Earlier, it were the Pandya brothers – Hardik and Krunal – who led MI’s recovery with a 54-run stand, powering the visitors to a challenging 168 for 5 in their 20 overs.
