During the 38th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru, CSK seamer Deepak Chahar sent RCB skipper Virat Kohli back to the hut cheaply.
Flirting outside the off-stump once again led to the dismissal of Kohli. In the third over of RCB’s innings, the right-hander looked to play an extravagant cover-drive only to find an outside edge which was easily grabbed by CSK skipper MS Dhoni. This is one area to bowl to Kohli in whatever format – on a good length and outside off – that has led to his undoing on a number of occasions in the past.
An elated Chahar was over the moon after picking up the big wicket of the RCB captain for 12 runs. And what surprised all Chennai fans was Chahar’s Tahir-style of celebration.
