Windies star cricketer Andre Russell turned 31 on Monday. The Jamaican power-hitter, who powered Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to a 34-run win over Mumbai Indians (MI) on Sunday, celebrated the big day with his teammates and wife Jassym Lora.
It was a double celebration as Russell bagged the Player of the Match Award for his all-round performance at the Eden Gardens – unbeaten 80 from 40 balls and two wickets. The win also helped KKR to end their six-match losing streak in IPL 2019 and register their 100th win.
Well, the wild birthday celebration began after Russell entered the dressing room. He was given a cake facial by his teammates Carlos Brathwaite, Sunil Narine and captain Dinesh Karthik even as the rest of the KKR players were busy filming the incident.
KKR team co-owner Shah Rukh Khan was also seen enjoying with Russell & Co.
