MS Dhoni produced a virtuoso performance with bat and gloves to power Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to a thumping 80-run victory over Delhi Capitals (DC) in an IPL clash at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Wednesday.
Dhoni smashed 44 from just 22 balls with the help of 4 fours and 3 sixes to lead the home side to a total of 179 for four before spinners Imran Tahir (4-12) and Ravindra Jadeja (3-9) wrought havoc amidst the Delhi batsmen as they were bowled out for just 99 in 16.2 overs.
Dhoni pulled off two lightning fast stumpings to dismiss DC skipper Shreyas Iyer (44 from 31 balls) and Chris Morris for a golden duck before grabbing an equally quick catch to remove last man Amit Mishra and seal victory.
Here’s how Twitter reacted:

Along with the Dhoni stumping, excellent television work with that last angle from ground level to confirm stumping of Shreyas Iyer.👏👏👍👍#starsportsIndia #bccitv

You have to love Imran Tahir. At his age, playing with the same passion as ever. And still winning matches.

MS Dhoni's captaincy & glovework are two things that are very difficult to quantify (the former more than the latter), but it is clear they add immense value to India & to CSK. CSK consistently exceed expectations & these two mysterious factors are a huge reason why. #IPL #CSKvDC
