Kiwi all-rounder James Neesham has deleted his viral tweet regarding the controversial run out of Chennai Super Kings’ skipper MS Dhoni in the final of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 on Sunday.
Now, on Wednesday, Neesham revealed that he has deleted the tweet and also listed the reasons for doing so.
Dhoni was given run out by the third umpire after a direct hit from Mumbai Indians’ fielder Ishan Kishan during CSK’s chase. It looked to be very close call and the TV umpire Nigel Llong gave it out after a look from various angles.
Fans and experts on social were divided over the run out decision.
Neesham also then made his view and uploaded an image of the dismissal with a message, “I love how passionate some fans are about our sport. I have huge respect for MS but how anyone could see the below photo and say it’s not out truly astounds me.”
However, after a lot of people did not agree and reacted to his comment, Neesham removed his post.
Neesh, there are two sides to a coin mate. Your very same picture at the exact moment from another angle. Care to Google about optical illusion maybe? pic.twitter.com/e1NddbXV8A

“I’ve deleted my tweet about MS Dhoni’s runout, not because I’ve changed my mind, but because: 1. I’m sick of seeing the same dumb comments in my feed 200 times a day. 2. I just don’t actually care. Please don’t bother tweeting me about it again. Have a good day everyone,” Neesham wrote in his recent Twitter post.
