Kane Williamson-led New Zealand beat Virat Kohli’s Team India in their first warm-up match ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
After opting to bat first at the Kennington Oval in London on Saturday, India were off to a torrid start as they were bundled out for a paltry 179 in 39.2 overs.
Chasing the 180-run target, the Kiwis lost Colin Munro early following a stunner by Jasprit Bumrah. However, skipper Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor’s brilliant half-centuries guided the side to a 6-wicket win. None of the Indian bowlers put up a show as the Blackcaps thrashed the Men in Blue easily.
However, during the match, we saw veteran MS Dhoni take the field without his keeping gloves for the first time after ages. Dhoni was fielding at the boundary while Dinesh Karthik was keeping at his place. The veteran stumper was last seen fielding when Rahul Dravid was the captain of Team India.
Here’s the video of chants of Dhoni.. Dhoni..:
