India continues their unbeaten run in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 with a 125-run victory over the West Indies at Old Trafford in Manchester on Thursday.
Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni slammed respective half-centuries to take India’s score to 268/7 in 50 overs. Windies were blown away by the pace and swing of Mohammed Shami who ended the match with four wickets.
Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal scalped two wickets each while Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav ended with one wicket each.
Kohli named ‘Man of the Match’
Virat Kohli was named the Man of the Match for his excellent innings of 72. During the post-match presentation ceremony, the Indian skipper said that he is happy with the performance of his team. He also lauded the performances of Pandya and Dhoni, who fired them to 268 after a middle-order collapse.

West Indies now becomes the 3rd side after Afg & SAf to be out of the reckoning for the #CWC19 SF spot.
This means since winning b2b titles in 1975/1979 and reaching #CWC final in 1983, WI, in last 9 editions, has managed to reach SFs just once-in 1996!#CWC2019#IndvsWI#IndvWI— Mohandas Menon (@mohanstatsman) June 27, 2019
