Indian opener Rohit Sharma added even more credence to his name, but this time not for the ideal reason when one of his sixes during his 104-run knock against Bangladesh in the ICC World Cup 2019 league stages hit a fan in the stands.
A fan by the name of Meena, who came to support the Men in Blue in their pursuit of qualifying for the semi-finals was hit by the cricket ball when Rohit tonked it into the stands for a six. The moment then was undeniably bittersweet for her.

This saw ‘Man of the Match’, Rohit, meet her and even spend time discussing the injury after the match.
BCCI shared a picture from Rohit’s interaction with the fan on their official Twitter handle and wrote: “She got hit by a @ImRo45 maximum and the opener was kind enough to check on her and give her a signed hat. #CWC19.”
