World Cup 2019: Here’s why Adam Gilchrist called Michael Vaughan an ‘Idiot’ during England vs Australia semi-final

England made it the final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 after defeating reigning champions Australia in the second semi-final clash at Edgbaston on Thursday. They will now take on New Zealand in the summit clash at Lord’s on Sunday and whoever wins, will lift the trophy for the first time.

Seeing England’s dominance over the Aussies in Birmingham, former English captain, Michael Vaughan couldn’t hold himself as he took to Twitter to express his happiness as the hosts intimidated Australia through-out the knockout game. While Australia was bowling, the bowlers failed to pick up early wickets.

Mocking the Aussie bowlers, Vaughan advised the Kangaroos to bowl with a barefoot to scalp wickets.

Seeing Vaughan’s tweet, Australia’s legendary wicket-keeper batsman Adam Gilchrist stated Vaughan as an ‘Idiot’.

The former England cricketer also quickly replied in a funny way as he put up a GIF image of a barefoot.

And this was not all. After the match got over and England knocked Australia out of the ongoing tournament, Vaughan shared an Instagram picture of a tabloid clipping showing the Aussie team members walking barefoot on the ground.
