Following the third match, the 28-year-old at the press conference said, “Quite satisfying and obviously won the series and to contribute to a winning cause is a good feeling. The focus is to improve every day and I am not thinking much about anything, just trying to focus on getting better.”
He further opened about his camaraderie with the West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard. Calling his Mumbai Indians teammate a brother, he said that they both know each other’s strengths very well.
“He (Pollard) is like a brother to me and playing against him, he knows my strength and I know his strength. I guess whoever uses his brain (when asked who gets the better of who), he added.”
India completed a whitewash 3-0 over West Indies by an emphatic 7-wicket win in the final T20I in Guyana on Tuesday.
A fiery bowling spell from Deepak Chahar coupled with a 120-run stand between captain Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant helped India dominate the hosts at the Providence Stadium.
Earlier, Kohli-led India had defeated West Indies by four wickets in the first T20I before beating the Carlos Braithwaite led side by 22 runs owing to the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method in the second game.
