Rashid Khan’s stature as a world-class spinner with the white ball is now an established fact. The Afghanistan youngster has dominated in leagues across the globe with the ball in his hand and is undoubtedly a superstar of the shortest format.
But his ability with the bat is often under-rated and playing in the Vitality T20 Blast 2019 he showed just why.
Playing for Sussex against Middlesex, Rashid hit an outrageous six at the County Ground in Hove on Friday.
And not just any shot – it was the famed helicopter.

Previously, Rashid had played the MS Dhoni trademark ‘helicopter shot’ during a match between the Maratha Arabians and the Pakhtoons in the T10 league. He had smashed a full-length delivery from Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Irfan.
