Jofra Archer, the World Cup final winner, is currently plying his trade in the Ashes third Test, where England find themselves in trouble. Though the sun was shining in Headingley it was a gloomy day for Joe Root & Co. and their supporters.
However, Archer came to the rescue of the Western Terrace when he took a beach ball off a steward and returned it to the Barmy Army, starting chants of ‘Arise Sir Jofra.’

The England sensation took six wickets in the first innings in Leeds to help dismiss Australia for 179. But the hosts’ reply on the second day was embarrassing, with the side being bowled out for just 67 on a surface that looked perfect for batting.
Archer once again opened the bowling with Stuart Broad, but he wasn’t able to contribute this time. However, he came running to the aid of the giant inflatable watermelon and the crowd who wanted it back.
By returning the beach ball, Archer gave the English fans at least something to cheer about on Friday.
